The Mediterranean Neuroscience Conferences Society Meeting are part of the effort of MNS to bring its contribution to the development of neuroscience in the Mediterranean region and in the rest of the world.
Priority is given to symposia show-casing examples of successful scientific cooperation with southern Mediterranean countries, but scientific excellence remains the single most important factor and a necessary condition.
The MNS Conferences feature two keynote lectures per day, held by worldwide authorities in their fields, as well as a rich multi-track program of parallel symposia which are selected among “bottom-up” contributed proposals. In addition, advanced training schools or satellite events can be organized in parallel with the main meeting, or shortly after or before, in order to profit conveniently of the logistic support deployed by MNS.
All types of neuroscience can be featured by the hosted symposia, from molecular and cellular approaches, to neuroimaging and systems or cognitive neuroscience, as well as clinical neuroscience.
The last Mediterranean Conference of Neuroscience was organized in 2017 in St. Julian (Malta), preceded by editions in Pula-Sardinia (Italy) in 2015, Istanbul (Turkey) in 2012, Alexandria (Egypt) in 2009… The next meeting will be held in Marrakech (Morocco) in 2019 (dates and location to be defined, stay tuned!).
