A message to MNS from the organizers of the Middle Eastern Neuroscientist Social event at the forthcoming SFN meeting in Washington DC!
“Dear friends and colleagues,
We hope that you and many of your colleagues and students can join us for the 2nd year of the Middle Eastern Neuroscientist Social event […] As you can see below, Huda Zoghbi, Eric Nestler, Marina Picciotto, and Nora Volkow generously agreed to participate in the event. Like last year, we promise a great time and very good Middle Eastern food (hummus, falafel, eggplant, and more).
Nelly, Mouna, Yavin, and Anissa”

We invite neuroscientists with middle-eastern roots who work or train in either middle-eastern universities or elsewhere for a social gathering whose goal is to promote neuroscience research, education, collaborations, and open communication in the Middle East. The gathering provides an opportunity to meet old friends and make new friends. Graduate students and post-docs are particularly welcome. Huda Zoghbi (HHMI investigator), Eric Nestler (SFN president), Marina Picciotto (Editor-In-Chief, J Neurosci), and Nora Volkow (NIDA institute director) are our special guests.
